たまゆらについて
微妙に変化する季節の印象を伝えるために
先人たちは細やかな心情を言葉で紡つむぎ上げてきた。
例えば「ほのかに輝く」という意味の「玉かぎる」が語源になった
「たまゆら（玉響）」は、
木々や草の葉などにつく雫しずくの様子を言い表わしている。
朝露は、木々や植物が黒々とした大地から吸い上げた水分を
葉の外へ出したものだというが、
七十周年記念誌には、繊細で品格のある町家文化や
里山の柔らかな民俗文化、
そしてたおやかな飛騨びとたちが朝露のように光り輝き、
一頁一頁に清澄な高山の色が映し出されている。
ここには見過ごしてしまいそうな姿や、形や、色、
そして住む人たちの心根があり、
それらはとても綺麗で美しく、どんな宝石よりも光り輝いている。

Takayama City's 70th Anniversary Book
Japanese people in the old days developed words and phrases to express their feelings and their awareness of the delicate seasonal changes.
An example is “Tamayura,” whose origin comes from the word “to shine faintly”, and expresses the serenity of dew on the leaves of trees and plants.
Trees and plants bring water out of the earth, and release it
from their own leaves as morning dew.
